JOINT BOARD AND BUSINESS MEETING

CHARLIE CARPENTER CALLED THE JOINT MEETING OR ORDER AT 2:45 P.M.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Robert Morrow, Charlie Carpenter, Roy Bennett, Jim O’Leary, Michael Brininstool, Rick Norton, Fred Walters, Les Wilcox, Dick Spoula and Jerry Hilgeman.

After a quick discussion of members in attendance, a motion was made to hold this meeting in joint session. Jim O’Leary made the motion and seconded by Rick Norton. Motion carried by show of hands.

Minutes of the April 2007 meeting read and approved.

Treasurer’s Report read and approved.

Old Business:

Hamfest: 1 September 2007. Jim O’Leary will cover the prize list and need to order for the drawings. Jim will make up the selection of prizes about the same as last years Hamfest. Will contact about the 1^st of August ’07 to order and then required money can be disbursed to cover cost.

Place of Hamfest dinner not fixed as yet. President Charlie will make contact with the Bethel Baptist Church on use of their kitchen for the event.

Motion made to hold Board of Directors meeting directly (09:30) after monthly breakfast, starting 2 June ’07, instead of before Member Business meeting. (Change in Policy and will improve time allowed at member meeting for educational and fun things in Amateur Radio). Motion made 1^st and 2^nd. Motion carried.

Noted by Jim O’Leary; that our group will not be required for R.A.C.E., (Rails to Trails). Also, there is a new repeater being installed for use. Jim O’Leary will bring more updates on subject.

Note: Fred Walters on White Sands 2 Day Radio project July 16^th & 17^th. They are presently waiting feedback from White Sands office.

Note: Fred Walters, MARS Group will have 2 booths at hamfest. They will also hold their luncheon meeting during the hamfest time.

Robert Morrow made the motion to adjourn the meeting and 2^nd Rich Norton.
