When I began this project, I needed to go in steps to keep the truck available for use between repairs. The most important thing was to repair the years of damage to the rear end, brakes and suspension. When I removed the bed, the metal was so badly rotted that patch panels would do me no good, so the decision was made to construct a stake bed. During this period all door rubber, seals and window hardware were replaced and the interior was cleaned up and painted. The truck is a worker so it will not be a show restoration.
