ALAMOGORDO SOARING FIESTA
We're gonna do it again

May 23 - May 27  2008

The White Sands Soaring Association is pleased to host 4 days of New Mexico flying at its best. If you've not experienced the soaring magic and hospitality of the high desert and mountains of New Mexico, you're missing a great experience! Several records and 1000k  flights were flown here and if you're not interested in soaring records, try setting a record for personal fun. Opportunities abound for both the fun flier and the hotdog to stretch their wings in a relaxed setting. The local area includes some of the most interesting places in the Southwest, from high desert to towering pines, with the cool mountain retreats of Cloudcroft and Ruidoso only a short drive away. Lodging and dining are available close by in Alamogordo and Cloudcroft and day trips to Ruidoso are easy. Some links to local area information:

We're a small club with big thermals and welcome pilots of all skill levels. Come stretch out and enjoy one another's company. Tie down, Barbecue for two, Just for fun Prizes and (of course) Oxygen included.

It's all about flying and it's all for fun
